Where the firm began and what it covers

Harry Pascuzzi started the firm in 1990, and its first work centered on real estate. Real estate still anchors the practice, and the firm has added other areas around it over the years. The site now lists eight in total: real estate, estate planning, family law, business law, litigation, bankruptcy, military law, and criminal defense.

That spread reaches into everyday legal needs and heavier disputes. The firm's own pages describe related work in wills, trusts and probate, business formation, commercial litigation, products liability, employment law, conservatorships, guardianships, and consumer law. It calls itself a boutique firm and says it represents clients in both routine and complex matters across California.

In my opinion, the throughline here is property and business, with the family, estate, and defense work sitting alongside. A client who buys or leases a property could turn to the same office for a will, a company formation, or a court fight over a contract.

How the partnership is built

Four partners run the firm: Harry Pascuzzi, Susan L. Pascuzzi, Steven R. Stoker, and William E. McComas. Their paths into law read differently, and several came to it after other careers.

The founder and the earliest partners

Harry Pascuzzi grew up and studied in Fresno. He entered real estate in 1975 in the escrow department at Continental Title Company, then earned a salesperson's license and managed a firm called Pacific Properties. He finished law school and passed the California bar exam in 1986, and he has taught real estate. His practice covers real estate and business law.

Susan L. Pascuzzi comes from Fresno County. She earned a business administration degree from California State University, Fresno in 1984 and has held a real estate broker's license since that year. She graduated from San Joaquin College of Law in 1997 and joined the firm in January 1999. She handles real estate, business, and bankruptcy matters.

The litigation-focused partners

Steven R. Stoker graduated from Clovis West High School in 1981 and earned an undergraduate degree in business finance in 1987. In 1991 he took both a law degree and an MBA from Brigham Young University, and he has practiced since that year. He works in litigation, real estate, employment law, and general business matters.

William E. McComas grew up in the Fresno and Clovis area. He graduated from California State University, Fresno in 2003 and took his J.D. from San Joaquin College of Law. California admitted him to the bar in 2008, and he added an MBA from CSU Fresno in 2010. He handles litigation, business law, real estate, and residential and commercial evictions.

The associate bench

Three associates fill out the roster: Jared C. Kapheim, James Meinert, and Ivan Martinez. Kapheim was raised in Dinuba, California, and earned his juris doctorate from the University of the Pacific, McGeorge School of Law in December 2016. He worked in the school's Elder and Health Law Clinic as a Certified Law Student, and he focuses on estate planning, trusts, and probate.

James Meinert was born and raised in Fresno and studied psychology at CSU Fresno. Before law, he worked as a Board Certified Behavior Technician who gave therapy to children on the autism spectrum. He joined the firm in 2023 as a law clerk and was admitted to the California bar in 2024 after graduating from San Joaquin College of Law. He handles estate planning and probate.

Ivan Martinez is a long-time Fresno resident who moved from southern California in 2003.

What the firm says about its experience

As a reviewer, I read the mix of long-tenured partners and newer associates as a firm that keeps hiring while its founder stays active. Harry Pascuzzi's start in 1986 and James Meinert's admission in 2024 mark almost four decades between the senior and junior ends of the roster.

Working with the office

The firm is based in Fresno, California, and it sees clients by appointment. It notes that Spanish-language service is available, a practical point in a region where many households speak Spanish at home.
