The attorneys the firm names

Six attorneys appear on the firm's site. Sean P Rieger is the founding partner. He earned a Bachelor of Architecture from Oklahoma State University in 1992 and a Juris Doctor with honors from the University of Oklahoma in 2000. His practice centers on real estate, construction and design law, zoning, planning and land use, property law, and landlord and tenant matters. That architecture training lines up with the firm's depth in construction and land.

Daniel L Sadler is a partner. He holds a Juris Doctor from the University of Tulsa College of Law, earned in 2012, and a Bachelor of Business Administration from the University of Central Oklahoma. His work covers business law, estate planning, litigation, and energy, oil and gas matters. Gunner B Joyce is the third partner whose name the firm carries. The site also lists Libby A Smith, Sally H Griffin, and Matthew A Welborn as attorneys.

Sean Rieger's path is worth noting for a firm this focused on building and land. An architecture degree, then a law degree earned in the same year the firm opened, gives him a working grasp of both the design and the legal side of a project. Sadler's business degree and energy law experience widen the firm's reach into commercial and oil and gas work.

How the firm came together

The firm began in 2000 and was formerly known as Rieger Law Group, PLLC. Sean Rieger finished his law degree that same year, which places him at the practice from its start. The current name, Rieger Sadler Joyce LLC, puts three partners on the letterhead.

Two offices carry the work, one in Norman and one in Oklahoma City. That pairing keeps the firm close to the courts and land records of Cleveland and Oklahoma counties, where much of Central Oklahoma's real estate and business activity sits. Both offices work the same practice areas, so a real estate or business matter can be handled from either one.
